The lessons are held by professional local musicians. One of these teachers is Bakary Sagna, who runs one of the best music and dance groups in the whole area and is a wizard on the djembe. Many other local musicians also drop by Diannah Bolong to hold drum and dance lessons, that can be tailored to everybody´s interest: both for the ones starting out, and for those who would like to advance.
Besides the djembe you can hear the saouruba drums and the triple string instrument ekoting, both of them from Casamance, and more familiar instruments like the kora.
